Temple of Doom Commentary

Or: ...Nothing! It's the Freaking Temple Commentary people!
So our Raiders commentary didn't suck too bad? Well let's see if we can't remedy that, shall we? Laugh and cry for two hours as we make witticisms and observations on the second Indy flick. Well, actually it's the first Indy. Technically it takes place chronologically before Raiders, right? Maybe that makes it the first prequel... Anyway, if Lucas can't be bothered and Spielberg won't do it, you know that the A3U crew will be there to record another scintillating commentary track to one of cinema's most beloved franchises. And anyone who thinks Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is better than this movie can lick my left nut! Or the right. To tell the truth, I'm not too picky about it.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of Bla Bla Review!

Or: How Bad Does This Suck?
So the new Indy flick is out and we pick it apart. Come on people! Who really thought this would be that good? EVERYONE had doubts and rightly so! But the question remains; just how bad was it? Is there anything worth seeing? Has digital technology ruined even the most holy of cinematic grails? Have Lucas and Spielberg exceeded our expectations or have they drowned in a sea of senility? Well I'm not saying here, so click the little download button and find out for your self. Besides, isn't better to hear us curse live?
As a bonus track we also added a little something for all the ladies out there as well everyman secure in his sexuality; a short, impromptu review of the Sex In The City movie. As we finish our Indy 4 review, my wife comes in fresh from seeing it and tells us what she thinks. Well, "waste not want not" we thought, so we added it on. Enjoy.

Tony Todd Interview!

Or: Seattle Crypticon 2008!
While we were at the 2008 Crypticon we had a chance to grab an interview we had been trying to work out since last October! Mr. Tony Todd, the Candyman himself was kind enough to set aside some time for us to get the interview we wanted! He's on 24 now, he has numerous projects on the go and has been in so many wicked shows/movies that I think I need not list them!
It should also be noted that during this interview there are a couple of guests that pop up, so keep your ears peeled.
...Can ears peel?

Drew Struzan Interview!

Or: What Ever Awesome Movie Poster You're Thinking About, He Painted It!
So seriously folks, on the eve of the return of one of cinema's greatest heroes of all time; Indiana Jones, we thought we should talk to the man who has made all the posters! The creation of a movie poster is in itself it's own art, and there's one name that stand tall ahead of any other in this field. Who can think of Star Wars without seeing Luke brandishing his sabre into the night sky? Who goes back in time with Marty McFly without thinking back to that poster? He's created so many indelible images in our minds and set our imaginations ablaze with the possibilities of what these films may have to offer, it's hard to look at other movie posters at all.
Learn more about his process, how technology is changing this art form and what the heck does Drew do in his spare time? DL and listen folks!
Afterwards, you should log on to get access to a deleted scene where we find out how Drew Struzan became one of the many people Pat Lee screwed over in the scandal that was Dreamwave's infamous fall!

Or: The Woes and Woah-That's-Freaking-Awesomes of Convention Outings!
Back from the recent Comicon on the north west coast, A3U relives our greatest triumphs and our worrisome moments of weakness for those of you who were unable to attend. Many sights were seen, many stories were shared, and through heartships untold, we fought our way here beyond the goblin city to take back the child David Bowie had stolen. (For all legal purposes it should be stated that David Bowie has never, to the best of our knowledge, stolen any children outside the realm of fantasy. Perhaps it should also be stated that we have no fantasies that correlate to such heinous acts. ...not that David Bowie is heinous...) Enough! Download and enjoy. There was much mirth and many friends to be made! Many prizes awarded and now; pods to be cast.
Good Night and Good Luck.

Perhaps you've already seen it and have been chomping at the bit to see what Spence thinks. Yes, I think that must be it! Well wait no further my little devotees, A3U is in the house and ready to drop the knowledge... or at least some very opinionated opinions. Find out whether it was a stinker or smelled of sweet roses. Either way, the court is in session Favreau, and your baby is on the stand!

Log in afterwards to download the bonus features! Get the dirt on the toy line by Hasbro! Oh crap! That just gave it away, didn't it? ...well maybe if they got it right one of these days!

Or: The Seeds Of The Masterpiece Lie Buried In the Podcast!
I hope you're reading this people, because you really want to! We recorded a comprehensive run down of all the Masterpiece Transformers ever released! It was an arduous journey fraught with peril and hardship, but in the end we triumphed! We sat on the Lord of the Rings of the Podcasts! Clocking in at an hour and ten minutes, we sat back and thought: "What the shit? Isn't that kinda long?" Well yes, it is, so we decided to cut this down some. But what about the hardcore Transformer fan who wants all this knowledge? What about the toy collector thirsting for all the juicy tidbits? Well we have an answer for you loyal listeners, and it's a good one. If you only want to check out the rundown at thirty minutes, you're welcome to do so. It still covers all the figures in the line and isn't short on laughs. If, however, you want to undertake a journey of epic proportions and unleash the full insanity that is the A3U - all the detail, minutia and nit picking, then log in, download the bonus content that houses the full uncut version, and prepare your brain for penetration!
Ahhh... Once again, A3U delivers like the paperboy!

Or: An Educational Way to Kill 20 Minutes!
So have you ever wondered... what the heck is a Cartoon Research Library anyway? Is it just a place where people are able to do research on cartoons? ....Well, maybe... okay, yeah, that's exactly what it is. But we get the scoop! That's right, there's a scoop involved somewhere and we got it! All the juicy details.... except that the "juicy" details are placed in a humidity controlled room so as to not destroy any of the materials. Huh.
Well if you think you're so smart, then tell me what kind of late fees would you incur for not returning an Eisner original? Don't know? Well then listen up boys and girls, cuz class is in session!

He's now on the eve of releasing his new independent comic series; RASL and we got to talking. For quite a bit actually. So long in fact that we couldn't fit it all into one episode! So in this episode we catch up with everything Jeff's been doing up till now, Bone, Shazam, colored Bone and maybe we'll even talk a little about an upcoming Bone project? Could be! Take a seat, listen... we're now in the Church of Bone!

I know it's two hours people, but rest assured, those who make it through to the end shall be rewarded! So show your appreciation and make your comments, good or bad! If not, you may not see another commentary or maybe you'll see another crappy one! So feedback people, feedback! Then again, feedback may be nice... As you open your brand new MP3 Soundwave you stall for a moment and wonder what it is that's missing. You can't quite put your finger on it and then it hits you, it's missing the sticker sheet that gives Soundwave his classic look.
Okay, it's the 30th Anniversary right? Thirty years since Luke was targeting Womprats in his T16 back home, right? Well since then, Star Wars has become a multi million dollar franchise with two trilogies, books, comics, toys, video games and more filthy creatures (that I can't abide) eager to get as much as they can get their greedy little hands on! Knowing this, the A3U Podcast crew decided to take a look at the state of Star Wars affairs and recap much of the stuff that has been coming out, giving our two bits worth at every step!
Take a deep breath Lucas... here we go!

A3U Review: The Mist!

Or: A3U Guerrillas in the Mist!
If you're thinking about seeing the Mist, but are unsure whether it's worth it, check out our review! We talk about casting, effects and compare it to Stephen King's original novella.
the Uwe Boll Interview!

Or: Uwe Got Hate-Mail!
Very few people feel indifferent about director Uwe Boll. Some hate him with a passion and some side with who they are calling the new Ed Wood, but either way, his name is on everyone's lips. His career has only been plagued with criticism, but picture after picture he comes back again to anger his nay sayers with name actors and world wide releases. What's the formula for his success? Why do people get so upset about his movies? How is his latest movie Seed being received? What's his connection to Peta? We sat down with Uwe on Wednesday, November the 7th and asked him what he thought.
So hate him or love him, the underdog is still on top and doing what he wants to do, making movies! Whether or not you think he's the Anamorphic Antichrist, Uwe is here and he's letting us know what's on his mind! Check it out!

In every podcast series comes a new low. While I'm sure this won't be our lowest, this is probably the lowest we've gone so far. In between fits of giggles, unfairly bashing poor Ben and eating the tasty Werther's Originals, we actually mention a couple horror books that have come out in recent years. We touch on the Friday the 13th book, the Nightmare on Elm Street, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Eduardo Risso's Tales of Terror, the Goon, Criminal Macabre and so on. So my apologies go out to anyone who attempts to get worthy info out of this botched podcast! And remember to those of you who decide to brave the silliness, whatever doesn't kill you...
